Temporary Closure

Work has begun on the next stage of upgrades at the park.

During the upgrade works, Gannan Park and part of McCauley Park need to be closed in the interest of public safety.

Due to recent wet weather, the reopening of the park has been extended to May 2025 (subject to weather) to allow proper turf establishment for the sports field.

Gannan Park Upgrade

Gannan Park and part of McCauley Park will be closed for the following upgrades:

New amenities building - The new amenities building will feature two unisex change rooms, accessible public toilets, a canteen, referee/umpire change room, and multiple storage areas.

Park Upgrades - The park is set to undergo significant improvements, including an expanded playground, a loop pathway, two fitness nodes, enclosed cricket nets, a bush regeneration area, sports field lighting, and new pathway connections.

Due to recent wet weather, the reopening of the park has been extended to May 2025 (subject to weather) to allow proper turf establishment for the sports field.

During the closure, you can enjoy other spaces nearby, such as Ryde Park, Pidding Park, or North Ryde Common.

Gannan Park has a large sportsfield and car park and picnic shelters. The park is popular with local schools and in summer is well used for cricket, with baseball played in the winter months.
