The City of Ryde is committed to the delivery of high-quality infrastructure, including upgrades to improve pedestrian safety, access and amenity.
As part of this commitment, Council will be upgrading the pedestrian lights at the following pedestrian crossings:
• 126 Buffalo Road, Ryde
• 60 Badajoz Road, Ryde
• 10 Chatham Road, West Ryde
• 85 Epping Road, Macquarie Park
• 31 Oxford Street, Gladesville
• 22 Lincoln Street, Eastwood
• 2 Parsonage Street, Meadowbank
• 7 Bay Drive, Meadowbank
What will the work involve at 126 Buffalo Road, Ryde?
• Supply, install and commission new pedestrian crossing floodlight on new timber poles including required underground work
• Temporary road resurfacing work within the work area
• Footpath and road permanent restoration (work to be undertaken at a later date)
When will the work take place at 126 Buffalo Road, Ryde?
The work will commence from Monday 5 February 2024 and is expected to be completed in two weeks, weather permitting. The work is planned to be carried out Monday to Friday, between 7.00am and 5.00pm.
Further work to finalise the upgrade is expected to take place in March 2024.
