New Amenities Building at Christie Park
- Project typeNew Amenities Construction
- Project StatusCompleted
- Completion Date18 September 2023
Council’s Sportsground Amenities Renewal and Upgrade Program aims to ensure that all families, park patrons and sporting user groups have access to safe, accessible and high-quality parks and sporting facilities. In 2016, it was identified through the consultation of the Christie Park Masterplan that a new amenities building was required at Christie Park, Macquarie Park.
Therefore, Council are building a new amenities building south of the synthetic fields to service park user groups and be an administration base for the North West Sydney Football Association.
The works will include construction of a new amenities building. The new building will have a brick exterior and include player change rooms and showers, referee rooms, first-aid room, canteen, storage rooms, public unisex toilets including accessible toilet, function room, a scenic balcony and general office.
The existing amenities building will be operational during the works and will be removed at completion of the new amenities building.
Access will be retained to the existing soccer fields and carpark as they will remain open during construction.
