The City of Ryde is committed to the delivery and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure, including to improve safety of stairs. As part of this commitment, Council will rectify the existing concrete stairs at Glades Bay Park (located from No.4 to No.6 Clare Street), Gladesville.
What will the work involve?
•Surface repair to the concrete stairs; and
•Apply visible edge marking to the stair treads.
When will the work take place?
The work is scheduled to commence from Monday 27 May 2024 and anticipated to be completed within 1 week by Friday 31 May 2024, weather permitting.
Construction hours are Monday to Friday and some Saturdays, if needed, between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm.
What are the changed conditions during the work?
For safety, the entire concrete staircase and adjacent footpaths outside No.4 to No.6 Clare Street will be closed for approximately 1 week during the above-mentioned period.
On-street traffic access may be affected at times during this work. The contractor will coordinate directly with impacted residents / users when this is required. Traffic control will be in place when required to assist with access through the area.
