City of Ryde Council, including the Customer Service Centre and all Libraries will be closed for the Australia Day public holiday, Monday 27 January 2025 (observed). The Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre will be open from 9 am to 5.45 pm.

Libraries

Storm assistance for our community

Until power is restored, and to support residents affected by the storms, amenities blocks including showers are open at Eastwood Park Upper (until 6 pm), Ryde Park 1 (until 6 pm) and the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (until 5.45 pm)

Residents are also encouraged to use the Libraries to recharge devices and access the internet. Ryde Library is open 9 am - 9 pm Monday - Thursday. Please see the library webpage for all opening hours across our branches.

Book Locker Currently Unavailable

The Book Locker at Gladesville Library is currently unavailable due to electrical maintenance, until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Our other branches at Ryde, Eastwood, North Ryde and West Ryde will still be available for you to pick up your holds and our eCollection is also available 24/7 with hundreds of eBooks, eAudiobooks and movies to borrow at your fingertips! See our eCollection page for more information.

Australia Day Public Holiday Closure | 27 January

City of Ryde Libraries will be closed on Monday 27 January for Australia Day Public Holiday. Eastwood, North Ryde and West Ryde branches will reopen on Tuesday 28 January at 9.30am and Ryde branch will reopen at 9.00am, due to our current School Holiday Hours trial.

Our normal opening hours will apply on Sunday 26 January. After-hours return chutes and online services will still be available during this time.

School Holiday Hours at Ryde Library

From Monday, 6 January to Friday 31 January 2025, Ryde Library will be open from 9 am on weekdays for extended access to our spaces, collections and services during the Summer school holidays.

Opening hours on weekends and other branches will remain the same. We look forward to seeing you in January!
