Notification of Parking Changes

Council has now finalised the design which has been approved by the Ryde Traffic Committee. The following changes to parking restrictions will be implemented along Ryedale Road, West Ryde:

  • The current unrestricted car parking spaces on the western-side of Ryedale Road, between Herbert Street and Wattle Street will be converted to one-hour timed parking (1P) from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday (8am – 6pm)
  • The hours of operation of the existing half-hour parking (1/2P) on the shops side will be increased include restrictions from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday (8am – 6pm)

In addition to these changes, Council will also be installing a new KISS and RIDE zone in the existing 1/2P parking zone on the Western side of Ryedale Road (south of the pedestrian crossing). This change is in response to feedback submitted to Transport for NSW in order to provide a safe place to drop off and collect commuters from the station.
