Earlier this year, Council implemented measures to support small business in addition to the support and stimulus packages being offered by the Federal and NSW Governments. These financial assistance measures were to remain in place until the end of September 2020.
However, with the ongoing pandemic continuing to have serious effects on local business, these financial assistance measures are proposed to continue until the end of March 2021 (in line with Federal Government support packages):
- Waiving fees payable for Outdoor Dining.
- Waiving Food Inspection Fees.
It must be noted that the Federal Government is putting in place a number of measures to assist small business and leaseholders – and that circumstances are subject to rapid change.
Once the exhibition period has closed, a further report will go back to Council to determine the resolution.
