In order to improve access for waste-collection trucks, the City of Ryde is seeking feedback on a proposal to install ‘NO PARKING 5AM–11AM FRI’ in various locations. As part of the proposals, NO STOPPING areas near intersections will be formalised with new signage.

The NO PARKING restrictions would be in effect from 5:00am to 11:00am on Friday mornings only.

WHY IS THE CHANGE BEING CONSIDERED?

These roads have a narrow carriageway and when cars are parked on both sides of the road there is insufficient space for waste-collection vehicles to access the area.  These parking controls are being considered in all of City of Ryde’s narrow roads as an alternative to using small waste-collection vehicles.

WHERE ARE THE PROPOSED CHANGES?

‘NO PARKING 5AM-11AM FRIDAY’ is proposed to be installed in the following locations:

  • Cherry Court, Marsfield 
  • Crimea Road, Marsfield
  • Scott Street, Marsfield
  • Sunhill Place, North Ryde
