This past summer has been a particularly difficult period for our community with climatic events and environmental health threats placing increased pressure on both the community and Council services and systems.
Following feedback from local residents, Council is proposing to waive fees for the use of Council's community facilities and associated amenities for the public to allow those facilities and amenities to be used to provide shelter, power, sustenance and/or hygiene services in times of emergency (including as a result of adverse climatic events) that result in widespread disruption throughout the Ryde LGA or State of NSW. This would include fees to facilities such as the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre and Council's halls and venues.
