The Lunar New Year Festival will be bustling with activities and large crowds are expected over the afternoon. To fully enjoy the event, we advise planning your trip in advance.

Here you’ll find essential information on parking, walking or cycling, accessible drop off zone and important road closures to help with traffic management and safety.

Parking

Parking is limited, so we recommend using public transport as your primary option. Public parking is available on surrounding streets and at the following locations: Glen Street Carpark and Rowe St East carpark (with time restrictions).

Walk or Cycle

Walk or Cycle if you live nearby or prefer to get some exercise, the Lunar New Year Festival encourages walkers and cyclists to the event. Please check the distance and route options using your preferred map supplier.

 

Accessible Drop Off Zone

If you have a mobility parking permit and require close access to the Festival, use our drop-off zone. Enter Hillview Road via West Parade (see map). There is limited mobility parking at Eastwood Shopping Centre and Glen Street car park. Time restrictions apply.

 

Important Road Closure

Road Closure and traffic changes will be in effect along West Parade from:

10am Saturday 8 February to 11:30pm Saturday 8 February (or until safe to re-open)

Changes to Bus Routes / Stops

Due to the closure of West Pde, Route 545 and Route 515 will be diverted to pick up and set down on the East side of Eastwood Train Station. Route 544 will pick up and set down on First Ave. Route 521 will pick up and set down on Wingate Ave.

The following route changes will be in place from 9.30am until 11:30pm on Saturday 8th February 2025:
