World Hearing Day Celebrations

Macquarie University Hearing is inviting you to celebrate World Hearing Day on Monday 3 March 2025.

This year's event at Macquarie University will feature engaging activities centred around the theme ‘Changing mindsets: empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!’.

Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to attend two panel discussions: one discussing the experiences of people with acquired age-related hearing loss, and another on hearing policy. The second panel discussion will include experienced advocates offering valuable insights into both the challenges and broader issues facing the deaf community.

You'll also have the opportunity to engage with peer support organisations and technology providers, obtain a complimentary hearing screening or set up an opportunity to ask an audiologist a question. A range of researchers who focus on hearing matters will be available to discuss their work and highlight their hopes for the future. The full agenda is available on our webpage!

Complimentary lunch will be provided from 12.30pm, offering a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.
