Become Tech Savvy at West Ryde Library by joining our introduction to managing your digital assets for end of life planning. A digital asset is any information about you, or what belongs to you, that’s stored on a phone, computer or online. Digital assets are important and potentially very valuable, but what happens to them when you’re no longer around or unable to use them? This topic will show how to make digital assets part of your end-of-life planning. They include anything about you, or what belongs to you, that’s stored on a phone, computer or online. That includes your passwords, your personal Facebook and other social media posts, your emails, bank account details, photos, videos, music and more.

In this session you will learn:

  • What digital assets are and how to manage them,
  • How to keep them secure, to minimise the chance they’ll be stolen or misused,
  • How to make sure they’re handled properly after you’re gone, and
  • How to starting a Will.

Attendees are not required to bring anything and handouts will be given. Bookings open Tuesday 27 August by calling Ryde Library on 9952 8352 or seeing library staff.

Note: these sessions are designed for seniors (60+ years).
