Putney Beach Grand Opening

With the support of the NSW State Government's ‘Places to Swim’ grant, and the collaborative efforts of the local community, and the Parramatta River Catchment Group, the City of Ryde will be launching the Putney Beach, at Putney Park.

Join us for smoking ceremony and official opening speeches followed by a day in the water.

Bring your own floaty to take part in our floaty races. There are prizes to be won, listen to live music on the shore, grab an ice cream or support the Meadowbank Ryde Scout Group by purchasing a sausage sandwich at their sausage sizzle. Remember to BYO your water bottle to stay hydrated and reduce single use plastic!
