Music on Mars 2024

You are warmly invited to MUSIC ON MARS 2024, an outdoor concert at 2pm on SUNDAY 22 SEPTEMBER at the Visitor Centre, Field of Mars Reserve, Gladesville/East Ryde (main entrance: Pittwater Road).

In bad weather it will be held in the nearby Environmental Education Centre.

The concert is dedicated to the memory of Jimmy Shaw (1925-2023), environmentalist, musician and leader of the Shawnuff Swing Band.

Hosted by the Ryde – Hunters Hill Flora and Fauna Preservation Society and generously supported by Ryde City Council, the programme will feature:

• Marimba Magic with the Sydney Percussion Ensemble,
• singer-songwriter Sarah Cherlin,
• keyboard wizard Chester Johnson,
• recorder virtuoso Emma Diaz,
• and, in a tribute to Jimmy, the Shawnuff Reunion Swing Band.

The event is free but donations are gratefully received.
