Meet Cerise Kofoed

From a young age, Cerise received weekly lessons in Speech & Drama and completed her Certificate in Drama & Performance (CDPA) and a Certificate in Voice & Communication (CVCA), both with high distinctions. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music majoring in music theatre from the Australian Institute of Music. During her studies, she developed her craft in the core disciplines of singing, dancing and acting. Cerise founded her own film production company, After You Productions, in 2020 with her long-term colleague and friend, Laura Daniella Bucci. Since then, Cerise has taken on roles including screenwriter, producer and co-director. She starred as “Ava” in their first short film, ‘Because of Ava’ which has won several awards including "Best Film" from 13Horror and "Best Short Horror" from Lily Indie Film Fest 2022. V.i.Z Film Fest 2022 also awarded ‘Because of Ava’ with "Best Short Film" with a special mention to Cerise for "Best Short Film Actress". Cerise enjoys teaching and working with children to discover each child's personal flair when performing. She works with their passions and interests to ensure they thrive with their peers and feel a sense of belonging in class.
