hroughout this webinar Jessica will draw on current research to discuss why students feel stressed, what stress might look like, and when parents need to worry about their teen’s stress. Jessica will also give some helpful tips on what parents can do to help their teen manage stress throughout their final years of high school.

Dr Jessica Belcher is a member of the Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre at Macquarie University. She has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology with Honours, a Master of Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Throughout her career Jessica has worked both in research and practice with children, adolescents, adults and older adults to improve mental health and wellbeing. Currently, Jessica’s main area of interest includes investigating why some high school students struggle with academic stress and anxiety, and looking at how we can best support all students to cope throughout their final years of high school, so that they can reach their potential both at school and in their future.
