The Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra – Sinfonia Ensemble will be performing as part of our School Holiday & Youth Week Programs

The Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra – Sinfonia Ensemble will be performing at our April 14th musical morning tea which coincides with school holidays and Youth Week.

Join us for a cuppa and biscuits while enjoying a hand-picked selection of beautiful orchestral musical pieces for our monthly Musical Morning Tea. The event features the talented youth performers from the Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra. For 40 Years, Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra (NSYO) has been a community-based, volunteer-run organisation.

The NSYO was first formed in 1983 as a community-based organisation run by parent volunteers. They support more than 160 talented young musicians aged 5 to 25 years to develop musical and orchestral skills, and to experience the thrill of playing in live concerts to sold out audiences. The Sinfonia is an extension group of the String Orchestra. While both ensembles bring young string players together to learn the skills of ensemble playing, the Sinfonia enables the more advanced players to tackle more difficult repertoire. They are both conducted by James Palethorpe.
