As part of City of Ryde’s Artist-in-Residence program, we are delighted to offer this creative class facilitated by City of Ryde's Artist-in-Resident, Louisa Chan. Join us in a beautiful community garden setting for a unique art workshop where nature becomes your muse. Create outdoor installations inspired by the environment, and experience the tranquility of working with natural materials. This workshop blends mindfulness, art, and the great outdoors for a refreshing creative experience.

Class Overview
In this workshop, participants will create nature-inspired art installations in a community garden setting. The workshop will include both outdoor and indoor components, where participants can create artworks to be displayed in the garden, promoting environmental awareness and community connection.
Anticipated Outcomes:
- Connection to Nature: Creating art in a natural setting will help participants experience a sense of peace and well-being, while also fostering a deeper connection to the environment.
- Collaborative Creativity: Working together to create garden installations will encourage teamwork and a sense of community pride.
- Mindful Art-Making: Participants will learn how to use their surroundings as inspiration for art, integrating mindfulness into their creative practice.
