Ryde Band's monthly free concert in the plaza. Ryde Band plays a variety of music including popular tunes, show tunes, movie themes, swing and more. Take a break from your shopping and come and enjoy the music. Ryde Band is a non-profit, community concert band that performs in venues around the City of Ryde. Ryde Band was founded in 1884 and has performed almost continuously since that time. Ryde Council helped establish the band and has provided support for more than 80 years. The Band’s role in the civic and community life of Ryde is and always has been integral to its existence. If you are interested in joining the band whether you already play an instrument or are a complete beginner, we have a program for you. Talk to our conductor or one of the band members on the day.
