Join us for the Christmas edition of Cinema in the Park!

Bring your picnic rug or low-lying chair to watch “The Santa Clause” with your loved ones to get into the Christmas spirit. 

You are welcome to come down from 6pm with the movie starting at sundown (approx. 8.00pm). Treat yourself to a delicious ice cream or the food options available.

  • Entry is free.
  • Limited free popcorn will be available.
  • Venue is smoke free.
  • Venue is wheelchair accessible. Please contact council if you require assistance by emailing events@ryde.nsw.gov.au.
  • Movie include subtitles.

What should I bring?

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Picnic rug or picnic chairs

What free activities will there be?

Including the free Christmas cinema, we'll have a variety of live and roving performers there to entertain the whole family. There will also be a free magnet Christmas photobooth and a range of fun inflatables for the kids to play on as part of the pre-movie activities from 6pm-8pm. 

Will seating be available?

There will be a limited number of free bean bags available to those that get in first, so we recommend bringing a picnic rug or a low-lying chair.

Will the movie have subtitles?

Yes, the movie will have English subtitles.

Will there be ATMs?

There are no ATMs onsite. All food trucks and ice cream truck will accept EFTPOS. 

Will there be opportunity to take a family Christmas photo at the event?

Yes! We have two free magnet photobooths from 6pm-8pm that will be doing family Christmas photos. There will be a Christmas themed background and props for you to use in your pictures to bring the Christmas joy.

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, small/medium sized dogs can come onto the event site. Owners must ensure that the dogs are on leads at all times and are the responsibility of the owner. If your dog/s become disruptive, staff may ask you to leave the event site.

Can you smoke onsite?

No smoking onsite.

Is there food available?

You will be able to purchase from two food trucks serving hot food and an ice cream truck. We will also be handing out limited free popcorn event attendees until stock runs out.

 

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you may bring your own food. Please make sure you discard all your rubbish at the end of the night.

Is there parking available?

On-street parking will be available with limited spots in the carpark. 

Wet Weather?

City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and Facebook page.

Is this site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

The City of Ryde is committed to providing universal access to all of our events.
