The City of Ryde has adopted a comprehensive action plan for resilience, Ryde Resilience Plan 2030, at a local government level in New South Wales. This plan will continue to support working towards creating a better prepared community to withstand and recover quickly from difficulties.
Resilient Ryde considers individuals, communities, businesses, ecosystems and infrastructure by exploring ways to prepare, adapt and thrive to be able bounce back from difficulties caused by chronic stresses, major shocks, and emergency situations that affect our community.
Council offers free Emergency Preparedness and Resilience workshops and talks for local community groups, property managers and businesses. For more information, contact the Resource and Resilience Officer via Sustainability@ryde.nsw.gov.au or 9952 8222.
