Weeds on Private Property
Council Officers can provide information and advice on how to control common weeds; we however do not undertake works on a private property. The quickest and most effective way of dealing with weed issues on your neighbour's property is to foster good relations with your neighbour and seek to resolve the issues together.
If this is not possible you can contact a Community Justice Centre to arrange mediation.
To keep our reserves and waterways free from Priority Weeds, Council has developed a private property inspection program that specifically targets Priority Weeds on private properties that adjoin our protected bushland.
Working with the community, we can detect and treat Priority Weeds early to reduce their impacts. In the unlikely event that Priority Weeds are present on your property, Council will provide advice and information on how to effectively manage them.
Free Weed Inspections For Ryde Residents
Do you have weed issues on your property? We are currently offering free inspections for Ryde residents, with a Council officer providing advice and information on how to deal with weeds on your property.
Please note there are limited spaces available each week so early bookings are recommended.
To organise a free consultation please email biosecurityweeds@ryde.nsw.gov.au with your name, property address and best contact details.
