Update | Waste collection service issues resolved
Published on 21 March 2022
Update - 21 March 2022: The below issues have now been resolved and waste collection services are operating as usual.
Severe weather and flooding across Sydney have impacted waste collection and transport services, including the facilities that serve the City of Ryde. Due to these impacts, some household and commercial garbage collection services are delayed.
The following services are impacted by the delay:
- Garbage collection
- Commercial waste collection.
The delay will mean some household or commercial garbage collection services will not be collected.
Recycling and Household Clean Up collections will continue as normal.
Garbage bins that have not been serviced by the usual time should be left at the kerbside and they will be collected as soon as possible, with those whose bins have not been collected to be prioritised as Council works through solutions. Please note it may take several days for bins to be collected, with weekend collections to take place.
The City of Ryde will provide further updates if any additional interruptions to household waste collection services are expected to occur.
