National Reconciliation Week
Published on 27 May 2024
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for the community to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The City of Ryde will celebrate National Reconciliation Week from the 27 May to 3 June 2024 and this year’s theme is ‘Now more than ever’.
National Reconciliation Week is such an important event on our calendar and we are holding a range of events for our community.
The events include an Aboriginal History Talk with Bush Tucker tasting, a cultural walk down to Browns Waterhole to learn about the history and use of the area by our First Nations ancestors and a traditional Aboriginal Games event that gives community members the opportunity to learn and share these games with their friends and family. View all events here. For City of Ryde staff, we are holding a Lunch and Learn Aboriginal History talk from Koori Kinnections Cultural Educator Trent Kelly.
