Improving street parking

It is important to the community that our neighbourhood streets are kept clear, safe for use, and allow residents the option of street parking.

Council is currently regulating auto businesses near high density residential areas to improve the amenity of City of Ryde residents. To increase street parking availability we are ensuring that auto businesses contain their clients’ vehicles within their business properties and not utilise Council's street parking resources.

Council have cautioned any non-compliant auto businesses, and regular patrols will be conducted to ensure compliance with the restricted-time parking zones in the neighbouring areas.

The outcome is to make sure the streets are not overcrowded with cars that may be damaged as to impact the amenity of the area.
