Councillor Arya is a professional auditor, and the first person of Persian/Iranian descent ever elected to the City of Ryde.
He is passionate about health and fitness; protecting green space and sustainable development; and enriching Ryde through arts and culture.

As a Chartered Accountant in public practice since 1998, with expertise in professional business services and audit, Keanu brings seasoned insights and accountability, with a focus on transparency and strategic oversight to support Ryde’s governance effectively.
