International Relations
In today’s interconnected and globalised world, international relations provides the City of Ryde with opportunities to collaborate and learn from other cities and countries, fostering economic growth, cultural exchange, educational exchange, and social development. By establishing partnerships and forging diplomatic ties, Council can tap into a vast network of resources, knowledge, and expertise to help make the City a great place to live, work, visit, and invest.
International relations for the City of Ryde focusses on delivering the best outcomes possible for our community. As such, Council’s efforts are focussing on the following key themes:
- Economics and trade
- Arts and culture
- Net Zero and sustainability
- Education and training
Although international relations activities form a key component of Council’s efforts to be a globally competitive city, it is important that they are approached in fiscally prudent and objective manner. As such, Council has develop an International Relations Policy, supported by tools such as the International Delegation Request Form, to shape Council’s international relations activities.
