City of Ryde Libraries provides many free and low cost services for the community across the various life stage categories. These include the following:

Free Services and Programs

• Wi-Fi
• Public Computers
• The Hive Digital Media Lab with Adobe Creative software
• Meeting rooms
• Study spaces
• Local History research
• Daily Newspapers to read in branch
• Online newspapers and magazines in the Library
• Children’s programs
• Regular Programs and some events including Author talks, Musical Mondays, Infocus, learning computer, parenting talks and more
• Seed Library

These free services and activities provide everyone with opportunities for leisure and learning without cost. The library services include community languages where possible.

Free Library Membership

Free City of Ryde Library membership includes:

• Books including community languages
• Toy loans
• Science STEM kits loans
• eBooks and eAudio
• Streaming of Movies and TV shows
• Online newspapers and magazines available from home – including community languages
• Research Databases 
• Fine Free - City of Ryde Libraries are no longer charging overdue fees for late returned items.
